Thank your for Poetry Daily:https://poems.com/poem/secrets-of-the-snow/ This long poem began in Kurdish, was later rendered into Greek, and has now been re imagined in English( mine job). It unfolds through the voice of snow and the fragmented memories of my early childhood. My city endured genocide under Khomeini’s regime. What remains constant is the ache, a grief that persists across languages, across time, across history. I carry it with me.
