Statement towards the international media, Kurdish Pen, Hiva Panahi

Statement towards the international media, Kurdish Pen
Unfortunate current events always spread faster than humanitarian actions.  Thus with sadness we learned that the weekly satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo satirized the unlucky child refugee Alan Kurdi, who, according to them would have become a future rapist. The unjust death of this boy, however, did not only serve to show you the dramatic plight of refugees. He died also to demonstrate that with the Sykes-Picot Agreement, your country imposed a century ago an ignorant arrangement that has since then condoned killing of the area’s Kurdish population.
Alan, even in foreign lands, was a fighter for the right to life. He said “no” to injustice and lack of dignity. He ignored your country's plan for unjust borders. This little one, with the pain he stirred up, touched human souls that still have some light, that have feelings. He touched everyone, even the global unhappy individual who was nearing emptiness, the global unhappy person who produces and leads societies only to Isisism.
We recognize that you are a very small section of France and of the general planet. You and people like you, from your positions, through your actions, lead us to the darkness that results in intolerance and hate. Like Victor Hugo said, nobody is born a criminal, societies breed criminality. It’s sad that in these difficult and violent times of your country and of the Kurdish people, that you could possibly be disposed to satirize in such an unjust way an unfortunate and lost child.
The Kurdish Pen strongly disapproves of your lack of ethics. Try to work with us towards abolishing the borders that were imposed on our country, borders that persecute us unto death in foreign lands and elsewhere.
